Tour Diary: Northwest Here We Come…

Here is a shot of us in Tampa, FL. I love this guitar, but I snapped the headstock twice on the spring/summer tour. I don't know if Cyndy is going to let me bring it again...

Slow down you say..? NEVER!

We’re about to embark on yet another journey through this vast country.  This time, we’re focused on the Northwest region.  Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.  We’ll see it all at a bit of a whirlwind pace, and before we know it, we’ll be back in the comfy confines of our home in Soundwave Studios.  We’ve added a few new features to this live show, Cyndy is going to be playing ANOTHER instrument.  THE FLUTE.  Yep, this is a woman of oh so many talents, and we’re pleased as punch to add them into the live show fold.  In the past Cyndy has recorded live flute (our song “Miike”) but actually playing it is another story.  She was nervous, and to be honest, she didn’t even practice what she was planning on doing around me.  I got to hear it for the first time last night at our kick off show at the Elbow Room in San Francisco, CA.  Wow.

Live and direct from San Francisco, CA! Fun night of crazy experimental music thanks in large part to Storm Door and Thoabath. (Sutek Hexen)

So as I write this, we’re trying to figure out to maximize the space we have in this Chevy Malibu for MORE GEAR, more instruments, and if need be, make sure we have room to sleep in it.  We’re playing around with the live set, adding more songs from the new album, “Clarity Amongst the Rubble” and it’s sounding HELLA TIGHT!

Sad to say but Inferno of Joy did not play this show with us. There was some scheduling conflicts. It still worked out with Thoabth playing (That's Andy from Sutek Hexen). So it was harsh/industrial noise/ then experimental/soundscapy stuff, then US! Good times
